Bat Out of Hell: The Musical sets the songs of Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf to a story of Strat, leader of a gang of forever-young outsiders called The Lost, and Raven, the sheltered daughter of the city’s ruler. The award-winning show carries anthems like I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That), Paradise by the Dashboard Light and the title track, and critics in London called it “a jaw-dropping spectacle”.
The 2027 New Zealand tour plays six cities in July and August with an all-New Zealand cast and a live rock band: Ashburton, Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington, Hamilton and Auckland’s Civic. Presented by Stewart and Tricia Macpherson and Ben McDonald, directed and choreographed by Jeremy Hinman. Built for Ben McDonald Presents.
